It's Looking Like My "Theory" About These "Audiophiles" may actually be truer than I expected...

I read this comment earlier this morning under a YT video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjRuK1GKj3A

"A good friend which happens to be a serious audiophile, was not happy when he sat in my house and started listening to my audio setup, including my Klipsch speakers. He was very disappointed when he realized that his very expensive audio system which cost 10 times more than my system, didn't sound as a more expensive system in comparison. Klipsch speaker are among the best bang for the buck out there, and they sound great."

So, basically, this is the "same" incident I ran into but online with several people and over the same brand, basically being "insulted" for even owning them. There might be another thing going on with all this too, because this company "still" actually makes many of their Higher-end models in the USA whereas over 70-90% of Worldwide Loudspeaker / Hi-Fi Gear in general is manufactured somewhere in Asia, mostly China. A unit I recently acquired Brand New was made in the USA, in fact it was "hand-made" and hand-assembled, not even done on an Assembly-line, and I sure paid the price even for that.

In fact, I think that if you can buy or own anything that is Hand-made in the year 2025, that it's quite something fascinating and completely remarkable, considering how much of everything comes off of an assembly line these days, even things like clothing.

Super High-End Audio Gear is NOT cheap. Even one piece of equipment can cost as much as a car, if not even more! Not even kidding, the prices really do go that high, an amplifier or speaker set can easily cost six figures, even Millions!

Almost every Audiophile loves to go on a rampage that nearly every brand that is not "Audiophile Grade" is probably junk made in China, even while almost ALL the Audiophile gear IS made in China regardless, many of which even have routine defects or bad quality control.

The loser who got upset at his friend below probably got upset not only because the system sounded better, but because it was also cheaper and maybe potentially still "manufactured"in the USA, whereas the chances are his friend's more expensive sets were made in China.

Just because something is "Audiophile Grade" doesn't mean it's practical or going to sound better or be better overall, in fact a lot of these so-called "Audiophile Speakers", in fact, many of them are only "one-trick ponies" and are not meant to be played loud or only sound good in certain meticulous "positioning", they don't fill the room with sound and don't handle Metal Music or a lot of Bass really good, so what would be the point of owning them, just to say that "I can" so I can boast to others much how much money I spent on them by showing off!? No wonder these pricks are miserable and where it can even get in the way of a friendship!

I'm really not into pissing contests of sorts, that stuff gets really old and pointless in life.

I could only imagine the types of criticisms I'd get from these fools if I actually invited them into my house to see my setups. I'd never hear the end of it between choice of speaker wire, placement and everything else.

It's not just this brand I got "hounded" for owning though either, I even got "criticized" by the Anti-JBL cults too.

Even weeks, months later, they are looking for "anyone" to come out and criticize from comments left in the past.

The only reason I came to these conclusions about why these losers get so angry, is that I can't for the life of me understand why someone would get so upset over something so trivial that someone owns, I've never even in my life seen people get as upset or angry over disputes between disagreements over Cars or even Sports Teams that they don't approve of like these vipers.

  1. I only know of one audiophiles...

And he is a good guy, but very particular about how he likes things done. He is also the most disorganized person. His house is a fucking pig pen. Shit is everywhere. This very odd, because the man is a mulit millionaire. I find that just so strange.

He has been an audiophile for about 45 years, and even had a TV repair shop back in the day. He is great with computers, and can fix almost anything, as he can do electrical and mechanical work with ease.

Not really a bad guy, just weird. I mean, isn't that a strange profile for a person?

    1. @Joey Aragon,

Yeah, that is kind of bizarre. His house is probably like that though because of depression. Something "went wrong" big time somewhere along the lines in his life.

I knew someone who lived like that but not well-to-do, and I kid you not, he didn't even have a clear space to even place a meal on a table to eat, nevermind any space in his sink to even wash dishes or anything.

    2. I don't visit this guy as much anymore. His house, which is work about 500K, smells very bad. He lacks self awareness, that is for sure...and all that money he is is locked up in financial companies...he doesn't spend, except for a Covette he paid cash for. He has never been in debt and never had any finance issues.

      Hire a cleaning lady!

I don't know what to do with this guy. He is a good person. Honest. But, just a slob. Definitey a demon, a good demon, if possible, is controlling him.

    3. @Joey Aragon,

Yeah that's the same kind of story with the guy I know, his lawn looks like shit, house smells bad and also just has a really bad energy vortex to it as well, and his whole life is in disarray with basically everything. Lacking in self-awareness and no real life plan or vision on anything. He went bald and aged REALLY badly early on in life with a pot belly too, skips meals and lives off of coffee and takeout.

Well, there are some "Demons" out there who are just not good at playing the "Demon"

    4. I think this guy just worships money so much, that he never spends it...

When he heard about compound interest, in his 20s, he was sold on it. He loves to say "money should double every 7 years"...and he has made a fortune in the stock market by just parking his money in there for nearly 40 years now.

Thing is, he is likely to never use that money!

He is going to die and pass it on.

That is just so fucked up, to me.

    5. @Joey Aragon,

Money either governs people by either greed or through fear, sometimes both, but fear is even stronger than greed sometimes, and it could be he is looking to just squirrel away more money than he'll ever spend in his lifetime out of that "fear".

A lot of Billionaires are even like that, even though Billionaires have WELL more money than anyone could ever need in a lifetime, there are even some who will live like a pauper.

      It's a sickness.
