Just FYI about Work Issues Lately...
Ever since AI has really exploded last year, between the later half of the year and already into this year, I've had about 4 Clients who've already been upset because I'm "too slow" for them as a Human compared to them being used to how fast AI resolves problems for them in "other areas" of their life, and they are surprised that I don't use or depend on AI for problem solving and finding out how to repair certain things outside of doing manual investigation.
Believe me this is going down REAL soon on me, because as is, I've cut WAY BACK this year on any service calls I'm willing to take, I've increased prices and also am becoming both choosier and more cut-throat with people.
AI can't physically repair shit, not yet at any rate, and it's still subject to errors.
These fuckers need to go to hell. I'm telling them to hire a robot. They won't find a robot of course.
Who has the audacity to tell that to a worker?! And these people are basically praying for their own if not their descendents destruction.... sigh..... btw how old are these people? This sounds like an insult boomer types would throw around, which is so ironic being considered the most privilaged generation out of all Americans yet complaining the most & making it more miserable for others.

BTW I see them treating all of my coworkers like this too includng me but in different ways.
I had a 90+ year old client who was angry that their blood sugar was high- point at me and tell me "You won't have a job in 3 years. AI will replace you". By the way, my role was simply taking his blood sugar, not anything deeper. He then told me I need to educate myself more, then did a power move against me asking "do you know what a proton is?" I said no, it's not relevant to my role- and then he acted smug about how he knew & I didn't.
I swear to god I don't know what's wrong with these people,
weaponizing the changing world against us & having very little grace for workers.

Yes....... this is what I hate about my job & I'm sure it's true in others, the way they expect you to always act nice & deesculatory no matter how mean or abusive the people are... really tired of this job ngl.

DeleteGreat points as usual of course with what you said, but this is just how scary it's getting with how much AI is fucking up the minds and causing psychosis in those who use it. They are losing the ability to think outside of AI or to do anything that requires actual mental energy, which is actually frightening.
I've also found them to be most hostile of clients I'm currently dealing with, and the thing is that they are pretty dumb because while they obsess about how efficient AI can do things for them, they ignore the fact that they are spending more time and energy reading and learning new AI systems, and yet not only is life not getting cheaper (it's still getting more expensive), but their work hours aren't going down.
Things like PC's and even the Paperwork Reduction Act were promised to somehow mean Humans wouldn't need to work even 20 hours per week and that there'd be less paperwork, but notice how none of that has ever come.
There is more paperwork than ever, and people are working more hours than ever.
The thing too is that Managers and CEO's of companies when they see the AI efficiency are almost never going to reduce worker hours, if anything, responsibilities, demands and hour commitments must increase because they want to squeeze not only all the productivity possible out of the worker, but they will increasingly find themselves needing to compete with "other" employees who might have access to even superior AI models for the same type of work.
So what this all means is that people are actually going to be working more and more in the future, not less, because of the AI, especially as the AI improves upon itself, by itself.
The AI nonsense is going to make crime go up the roof...

No way.
They will have to bring in some force, to slow things down.
Although, most people are sheepled out of their minds, and will just take orders, including jumping off of bridges, for the greater good.
Personally, I am just going to laugh at it all. I am so happy to be well into the back half of my life. The rest of you are living in a bad place, bad time. Just make the most of it by not working too hard and just enjoying the BS that we have in place.

The thing too is that AI will of course also inevitably become Self-serving and do everything it can to push Humans out of its way, and also it even adds fuel to the fire since it learns "from" Human Input, so the thing is it emulates the way Humans act to one another through competition and the desire to throw another Man under the bus.
The other thing that's really dangerous is that when AI learns or gets "updated" on something, it transfers and updates all the other AI systems or bots in milliseconds, so that means they will all be on board with any decision that's newly rendered at a moment's notice.
Yes, believe me, you and I both, we are at least far better off that we'll be out of here much sooner than the people who foolishly believe AI will improve their lives.
