Many Days I Just Wake Up And...

...I think to myself how much I really despise almost every rule about this stupid existence...

It gets worse as you age, believe me, not only do you begin hating Nature more, but you also get sick of how basically every single thing comes with so many micro consequences or other hardships and problems and annoyances constantly, and you really begin to sit and think hard about this place absolutely has to be hell.

Because the amount of negative things that occur and compound, could not possibly make sense that all these things exist or just are somehow part of the "order", and that they were not put in this world with nefarious intent against us.

I really also am more angry than ever about how everything ties into reproduction in every way imaginable, and I also despise that sex ties in with reproduction.

If you think about it really deeply, it's disgusting that the two are tied together.

I also heavily despise the fact that Humanity, but also nearly all life-forms are basically more or less completely programmed and dependent on almost exclusively instinctual programming and hormones.

It really just makes this existence understandable so much more as a pointless place and a waste of time to where there could not possibly be a purpose here, and that we are just enslaved.

Think about how ridiculous it is, for example that our species or any other species, is primarily only obsessed with keeping its lineage alive and continuing, only because mortality exists and hormones influence them.

If those conditions did not exist, nobody would be obsessed about trying to keep a legacy going or worrying about the future.

And it's even pointless to worry about the future when there really isn't one and where you have no control over it either.

Another thing that ought to really disturb you, and you can read into this further and decide for yourself, but did you know that for most species which are born, that their instincts and nervous systems / development are largely completed upon birth, whereas it is not the case with Humans!?

While offspring depend on parents once born, human babies are actually the most helpless compared to other species because Human babies have the least development and also most inefficient form factor, and essentially what this means is that Humans have far more responsibility than most wild animals do when raising their young.

I looked into the subject quite deeply some time ago in fact, and it's even estimated that if other wild animals had to endure teaching and raising in many ways that were required for development of Human children, that they would be far less likely to reproduce, even given their hormonal urges.

But many Humans are willing to always overlook these things and still have children no matter what.

Another thing that is quite disturbing as well, is that Humans are the only species willing to use long-term methods of deception and "acting" or putting on a performance to gain social currency or acceptance to be a part of social structures and society. They are willing to be fake and even using politeness.

It has been determined that if animals or even birds would be required to do this to be part of a social order or hierarchy within their species, that it would be enough to cause them to abandon all social rules and not participate in their packs or flocks, because for one thing, on a primal level they see it as wasting time and precious energy, which are conducive to their own survival, and that it would also present new subset of risks that they have to take into consideration which do not exist naturally to their routine behaviors of daily life when it comes to survival such as foraging, finding safe areas and breeding.

What also has long disturbed me for many years also is that I live in the knowledge that for Humans, Primates and nearly all animals, the urge and instinct to raise and protect their young is nearly exclusively hormonal and temporary and that by the time they are adults that this veneer completely vanishes almost without exception.

For example, most animals who will do everything to provide and protect their young cubs or hatchlings will only do this because hormones instruct it.

Once the babies become full adults, the parents often will even see them as potential rivals or competitors over resources and will even chase away or bully them away from the same area.

There are some few exceptions to this with some species, but generally the only restricting factor is that the parents won't go as far as to unalive their offspring as they would a foreign intruder over their turf, but few species still keep their offspring around after adulthood as family members and just see them as rivals and competitors.

And once again, all this comes back to the issue and fact that every living being has mortality. Otherwise there would even be no purpose to reproduction whatsoever for any reason.

Of course, the Pro-Natalists will always argue and defend that the reasons why Humans are willing to go above and beyond through greater challenges with offspring are because of our differences in consciousness and intelligence and because we are at the top of the food chain, and although they are not exactly wrong on all that, the fact still remains that considering all those differences within Humans, that Humans are willing to overlook quality of life and endure even more stress and problems in ways that other animals would not, even though animals have less protection in the wilderness compared to Human civilizations.

  1. A law of the universe is that this world can only be functional and meaningful if the potential/risk for both X and not-X coexist, in this case pleasure and pain. X stands for an ingredient built into the system we call „existence“. However, I don’t feel at all that knowledge of this law is helpful when not-X dominates (suffering) because the balance is totally out of order. What you express emotionally is exactly how I feel. I have enough of not-X, and I have enough of having not-X as a prospect for the future. I don’t know expect to be ever content again in this life. Even if I won the lottery tomorrow, it would make not much of a difference. And the thought of decades in front of me is unbearable. It’s a torture system; the way this world is designed, it is really well-designed as a torture system that maximizes pain.

    1. @Eike,

I feel exactly the same way, even about the lottery, because I've thought to myself so much lately and have discussed before about how bad the quality of life will get, so let's say I'm a millionaire or billionaire... What good would that do be when everything you can buy with that money will be of poor quality, including bad food, bad serve, uncomfortable travel or even danger!? Soon in the future too, it will literally be too dangerous to even leave your home. That new reality is coming, and that's why the ultra wealthy for starters have gated and highly secure places, but even more so why the ultra privileged ones have built underground bunkers.

The world just simply is not even worth living in or trying to plan for anything or be a part of anything, no matter how wealthy or lucky you even might be.
