It's funny how ignorant Americans are about "Oil"

Americans seem to think they are so smart about Energy Independence, or thought that Oil prices would not be affected for attacking a country like Iran, because they fail to see that it doesn't even matter whether OPEC is in the picture or not, whether they even existed at all or not.

Oil Pricing is exclusively designated or denominated by the Oil Futures Market, and that figure can change on a whole host of conditions, even if you get your Oil from other countries and also based on what one's Native currency is worth compared to the cost per barrel of Oil.

The USA gets over 60% of its oil from Canada and most Natural Gas from them as well, but the thing is that will have no effect on prices going up even if you don't get fuel from a country like Iran or Russia.

For one thing, Oil is a "commodity", and it's treated that way both officially and unofficially.

Control over oil can make a civilization thrive or completely bringing it down to ruins, and so even a "perceived threat" to Oil supplies in other countries, is enough to bring the price up, even if there is no actual shortage, and even if there is abundance.

While Greed and Corruption over Oil absolutely plays  a role in this, there is also a natural factor about it because rising the price discourages "hoarding" in the event if actual shortages or disruptions, including to any Oil infrastructure anywhere in the world, occurs, so the price increase is to make the affordability more difficult. ESPECIALLY in times of War, because panic-driven effects take hold in the markets, because you never know which country could "turn" and decide to restrict Oil Exports or in case a certain country gets attacked, including their own infrastructure.

So the risk factor is also "priced" into the Oil Market, even if there is more oil than anyone knows what to do with, and even if the actual production cost remains stable.

We're only 1 week into war, and Americans seem to have a LOT to learn about what's in store for them.

The media will tell you nothing, but they are getting Americans are getting their asses handed to them over there in the Middle East. They aren't winning at all.

Whatever the media tells you, think in the "opposite terms".

For example if the USA says that they are hitting Iran hard, it's probably likely that the Iranians are doing that to the Americans instead. Meanwhile, the Little Hats just see Americans as "Cannon Fodder" for their War Machine.

Iran has taken out a shit ton of American Military infrastructure such as Bases, Jet Fighters, Expensive Radar systems and other things right now, but CENTCOM and Media sources are in complete denial of it.

Soon, if not already, you'll hear the debate about how the US will suggest the necessity for a "Ground War", which is what they were banking on not having to get involved with. But it could happen any day, because Americans are getting desperate.
