When it takes a "Psychology Professor" to prove to others that Trauma does NOT give Growth

Posting this for perspective, just so you can contrast it with all the things Goatis says on the subject.
While it's a long lecture, he basically breaks it down into Scientific and Psychological Terms and explains how Trauma is completely destructive, and proves how it does not offer any kind of growth.
Essentially, he explains how it's a completely oxymoronic idea and expression.
But perhaps what is most interesting is also the part about the discussion where he discusses the Integration of Internal and External factors about how Trauma or Anxiety and other things align (or don't) with an Individual's beliefs or values in where they see it as growth, is correlated with Narcissism.
And I agree with that 100%.
It's truly amazing how much that people out there, largely belief that Pain, Trauma and Suffering give "growth".
I do wonder if Sam Vaknin knows that a lot of the ideological garbage that promotes the notion of becoming "stronger" from Stress or Trauma, is largely a byproduct of what the New Age Movement promoted... And it's a fact that much of New Age spirit, was given "bloom" from the influences of Christianity.
Many Musicians also constantly promote in their lyrics how they "fall" and get up back "stronger" or how much pain made them an even better person, and I wonder if some of them were "told" to put these lyrics in their by those who want to program their "fans" to believe in these same delusions.
Trauma leading to growth or becoming a better person or perhaps stronger is inherently a slave mindset. On a fundamental level it does not make any sense for anything that is harmed by something else to be “better” than it was before. At best you will adapt, and that will ALWAYS mean you will become weaker in some form or another. Damage does not equal more strength or vitality, only idiots believe that. And it’s interesting how you point out that the New Age Movement and Christianity are responsible for pushing this mindset onto the masses, I didn’t really know where it originated from either. The thing about it being correlated with narcissism is also interesting since this mindset is also promoted a lot by online grifters and self-improvement gurus.
ReplyDeleteThe archons love trauma. They can build on that. Get people attached to this world with stupid regrets that mean nothing....
DeleteJust ignore it all.
Don't even have an opinion on trauma. Losing people to death, for example, is nothing important. We all have to deal with it, but in reality, these people are just not that important at the end of the day. What matters is your own life and your own peace of mind.
If you know how to let things go, and understand the psyop of trauma, you won't be impacted by it...
For example, I have been downsied 7 or 8 fucking times in my life, and I am barely 50 years old. I am not going to give a shit about it anymore. It was all just a transaction of my time and energy for some gold stickers aka money, so I can live my life....no big deal anymore.
I don't get upset about it anymore because it is just going to get me upset and mess with my life, in a bad way.
Move on.
Move on.
Move on.
That is what we do, we move on. Who cares about this place. It is trash, run by a trash god that is a fucking prick. Playing hsi prick Devil, Jesus, flip a coin game with us. Fuck him/her and this faggot horse he/she rode in on.
I am not going to suffer. I refuse to do that. Nope.
Dying is a good thing too...that is when you are really going to win in life, when you actually are happy you are dying everyday, and can move on from this hell hole of garbage called planet Earth.
People are trash as well. Can't trust anyone. How sad is that?
