Just 2 items — property tax and health insurance have gone up so much so fast that they now account for half of my take-home pay. I’m more for fortunate than many, but not sure what happens when prices go up even more.

I bet you do have 3 dogs and are forced to live in a camper, or soon you will be, with your 3 smelly dogs.

These types are the common NPC's out there, "Life sucks, but it's really not that bad actually" types.

Most of my expenses outside of my hobbies that I do for personal enjoyment, are going towards Food (which I never sacrifice on) and Transportation.

And even that doesn't account for half of my income. I'd be screwed, and yet this person thinks themselves "fortunate".

I am likely entering my senile phase right now in life, but I'm still not anywhere near this far gone.

    Typical American, that wants their cake and eat it too.

    Downsizing must happen in these situations OR find a better paying job OR get other family to live with you.

    There are always options.

    I pay about 15 percent of my income for the same that this person pays 50 percent for.

    And my life is stress free about 90 percent of the time. Just have to deal with some traffic, and BS at the Supermarket.

    Americans have no creativity to solve problems. That is what this fool needs.

    Because he thinks stress is normal, when it is not they way we are supposed to live.
