Internet Issues Again, But This Time It's Different

It seems between the combination of the Imposed Windows 11 Update that most people "fell for" along with the combination of the Cyber-attack a couple of weeks ago which involved CloudFlare, that I've been running into a whole host of new issues, but nothing relating to my failed router, which has been working great actually.

But it seems these websites along with AI are purposely trying to "throttle down" many users, especially on older versions of Windows or Browsers, and I ran into a corruption issue in the past couple of days with one of my Browsers as well.

I'm also getting denied entry on many websites at least not with repeated refreshes and having to also look up alternative methods for things, on an older system.

It's truly amazing how annoying the Internet world has now become, and to be honest, as reluctant as I have been about it, I may have to look into switching over to Linux for better or worse, going forward...

Only thing is I've been out of the loop for a long time, and do not know what is the best one nowadays, but I did have some experience with Fedora back in the day which was the better one I liked. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

Another thing also is that I'm seeing more and more of the websites I have accounts on, including this, are starting to employ additional measures or things I never approved of, even down to information sharing or login requirements, and it now makes me dread every time I have to do something on my computer.

I wish I were exaggerating, but it really is that bad...

Every day it seems, I am confronted with something new, and I've also learned a lot that AI and the more it takes over the Internet is slowing down page loading and performance.

And it only becomes worse when I log in at different locations.

For those of you years ago who remember how things used to be, doesn't it seem like Websites and Menus are just clunky and littered nowadays with endless things you have to click to get off the screen?

Do you remember the days when you would buy a brand new PC that was super fast, how websites would just instantly load the moment you clicked  on them or hit Enter?

It hasn't been that way for a while now...

I have such an old system, that when I had to reinstall an unsupported version of Chrome again, I had to uncheck and tick off and change all these settings to even be able to access many websites including YouTube, and I never remember having to do that before.

This is fucking ridiculous.

  1. I would switch to Ubuntu, it's beginner friendly and it's constantly receiving updates. Win11 is not only worse in terms of privacy compared to Win10 (that say a lot) but it even breaks your PC now. I've heard an update released months ago corrupted people's SSD. Imagine that! Never happened with any other Windows versions, I would rather use Wn10 than this new shitty OS that even compromises your hardware. And the new chip requirement it needs makes relatively old computers obsolete. Sometimes.. I wish the internet gets shut down for good, the future is looking dark already.

    1. @nothingiserious,

Thanks, yeah I will keep the Ubuntu in mind... Windows 11 is absolutely ridiculous, and yes there was an issue with that going on wtih the SSD's, plus the Bitlocker Drive encryption and other features can easily also lock you out of your system and deny you from ever getting your data. There are also so many more numerous things in it that pretty much decide what they will do "for you" without your consent, and I do not like this with Windows 11. It was bad enough in Windows 10, but it's like thousands of times worse on 11.
