Delays...
I'm in a horrible fucking mood today because of several dumbass customers who are really making my life a hell because of their stupid frantic, last minute decisions that they try to impose on me, last minute and as a scatter-brain.
A lot of them happen to be "WOMEN" and also from MY STATE, and having to deal with these fucking losers "delaying me" up on the phone because of their fucking DOGS slobbering them.
It's absolutely unacceptable.
I've had to adjust my policies more in the last 2 years to circumvent the behavior of abusive clients, and once already this summer, and now I have to make further adjustments and demands on how they schedule appointments.
These assholes, what they do, is they love to make their stress and problems, to become "your stress and problems" and they act as if, I'm not necessarily tending to someone elses jobsite.
Then they ask why something must take so long, or you have to fit something in such and such with their stupid schedule.
So here I am needing to tighten things up even further on them, because what they are doing, is becoming unfair.
They also act like I'm supposed to offer them "product support" for life, or try to use me to answer all kind of questions that they never take a look into things first, and it's always in the most inconvenient situation.
As a rule, I typically do not let work ever interfere with my personal life, but more so than ever this year I have found that because of the erratic and impulsive nature of these people and businesses, they are really starting to make my personal life hard.
Between delays of buying food, laundry that needs to be done, cleaning, and interfering with my overall health and sleep schedule.
I hate the way they call and are always flustered and scatter-brained all over the place, can't even answer simple questions and don't know their hand from their ass.
I simply can't go on like this.
I'm not sure when I'll post again, but I am due for the entry I have which will make people angry, when I have the time I'll post it.
These are some of the worst people to deal with.... almost on the same level as violent people ....... they are giving me 2nd hate too PSA, they better be careful..... jk I can't do anything but seriously lowkey dissapointed to hear these a**holes are in your field as well, when I deal with people like this and it makes me want to quit my job. I think it's what's causing a lot of burnout in many professions & stems from the 'customers always right mentality' and the entitledness levels.
ReplyDeleteAlso have you ever noticed a bulk of the time is even 'figuring out the problem and calming them down' rather than fixing it because they are so not clear and unhelpful in the process??
Can you retire soon PSA, hopefully that will help at least.
@T345,
DeleteThey sure are the worst! They have a very toxic demeanor to them overall as a person, and the worst part is that these are the people who are largely "leading" the future...
A lot of times they even figure out their own problems before I can even get around to it, because of course they just weren't looking or taking the time, but I'm not the one who owns or uses what they possess, so how would I possibly have quicker info on it!? They seem to never think of it that way because they are NPC's!
Technically, yes, in a sense I "could" retire, but my retirement is my savings... I don't have any actually "retirement" programs to live off of.
The other thing too is that while some of them have brought me a lot of good business, when you become self-employed, it's also harder to "exit" from the work you do compared to just quitting a job. That's something I've sure learned about this from a lifetime of it.
These people operate on a kind of default 'hysteria level.' They feed off the hysteria and having everyone else flapping around working on all their problems and then suddenly, while you are running around trying to work all the shit out they quietly move the goalposts and leave you regretting your wasted energy. For example, you will have some woman claiming she is trying to get out of an abusive relationship or is suicidal or some shit, and you will spend loads of energy trying to 'help' them and when it goes to the 'eleventh hour' they will turn round and reveal that everything has been worked out because their partner bought them some flowers, and that you were the problem all along. That type of shit.
ReplyDelete@HUMAN PASTE,
DeleteIt's exactly how it is, and I've noticed that while I find these frantic types in every state, the majority of the distrustful, snippy, impulsive and annoying ones tend to come right here from Massachusetts. This is a very stressful state, and I refuse to play along with the dance of their fast-paced, rat-race work culture, while it's not as Extreme as NYC, it is pretty close, and I think between how bad Traffic situations, overall stress and too many things are going on over here, it just adds fuel to the fire with these NPC's.
It's almost like I have to hold their hands for everything. The blame games are ridiculous too, some of them engage in this, and out of curiosity, because I received some outrageous accusations, it made me curious to check into their family history, and although not "them" specifically as the direct descendants, but I discovered that the family was a very well known criminal network that existed for centuries, and the family has a bad reputation, kind of like the "Kennedys" or the "Johnsons" for example...
And it really makes sense, because I have done loyal work for these people for many years, and while they generally pay up and have been mostly easy to work with, a few times they have acted sketchy with me in times that make no sense, but this year out of all years, and almost accusing me of never having done work on something that was already long completed. I find that very bizarre, and that would be completely out of my work ethic in any given case, unless they didn't pay or something fell through on them honoring their part.
The boss of the company has now used some ways of passive-aggressively making up stories about a scenario or employee, only to find later the actual case of what's going on doesn't even exist, or doesn't resemble anything of what was said. So either this is a game they are suddenly playing on me, or the owner is on drugs.
