Boycotting February 14th
If you are in any way like me, and the Many Men who engage in this tradition, do not spend any money whatsoever on February 14th.
It is our form of resistance against this Holiday, and this means even not spending any money on yourself.
The best thing is to starve the system on this date so that the numbers across the board can have an unprecedented low, to put a "dent" in all Valentine's Day "numbers" in the Commerce system.
Let's make their V-Day projections hurt.
It is our way of rejecting this materialistic slavery.
It has not crossed my mind until you brought it up!
ReplyDeleteWell, I might buy some cheap candy on Feb 15th, so it is not that bad. :))).
Men that engage in this holiday are losers. They lack intelligence. And will never get my respect.
It's incredible how many men only think about what they should give and not about what they should receive. It's pure slavery.
ReplyDeletePretty much! The thing is, the holiday is "cloaked" as being for everyone, including Women giving gifts for Men also along with giving "Family Members" Valentines. But let's be honest, we all know that's just trying to make an extension of the holiday. It really is by and large, a Materialistic Holiday about Men giving everything for Women and being her "Dog" for that day, while he gets nothing in return. Most Men do not even "Make Love" with Women on Valentine's Day. And are probably too tired, after getting all the gives and dinners and other things he's "expected" to go out and do for her on that day.
DeleteI'm not a huge activist about "No-Spending Days" as a whole, but Valentine's Day and also March 8th, International Women's Day (A Marxist Holiday) are good to refuse to spend any money.
