An Apology Reminder For The "Sloppy" Formatting Of My Content
I just want to make a friendly reminder about the issue I am having here on Blogger, which seems to be getting worse by the day.
And even my other Browsers aren't so great.
You may find a lot of my content to have increasing levels of Typos, or even certain sentences that suddenly cut off or are incomplete, including inconsistencies in the Fonts, Sizing or things that do not correspond to a proper "order" of the Essay or Paragraph Issues.
When I first started using Blogspot a little while back, I never had these issues like I do now, and it was mostly stable and efficient, even while yet simple.
But I am finding that either between Google "changing / updating" something with their Coding or Formatting, or maybe the way that the Browsers are being rendered "incompatible" for publishing or the formatting type, it is causing my blogs to look extremely sloppy and uneven, perhaps with random sentences that are spotted out of nowhere, or look unsightly.
I had to discontinue using Google Chrome the other day, because the last iteration of the Chrome Browser used no longer supports updating.
And even my other Browsers aren't so great.
You may ask, why I am restricting myself to these measures?
Because I refuse to upgrade to the Spyware Editions of Windows which monitor and track everything you do.
The Google Chrome browser was causing my own words to constantly be typed in, "improperly" where the letters would stumble over each other, especially the faster I typed, and I am a fast typist.
Secondly, over the last few weeks, and especially the last few days, some "Special" Browsers I use to publish, have also been acting up on me, especially when I insert any kind of content or quotes, and also I am finding just in general that at random times, I am having text get deleted on me or even moved into different parts of the blog, or getting scrunched or with overlapping text and broken formatting, whereas this wasn't even a problem some weeks back.
It is really discouraging, in fact. I am so tired of the Internet and the stupid Interfaces and Minimalization Icons used that don't clearly indicate what the functions are for, and where Menus are now hidden or clumsy and easy to press the wrong thing, entirely FUCKING UP the whole document, while it gets a shadow copy "saved" as a Draft, sometimes entirely ruining the post.
This is what I don't understand about Modern people... Especially on the Major Social Media websites, who use all these Sound Effects, Emoticons, and other types of Layering and other effects, especially on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Honestly, HOW THE FUCK do these people have the time and patience to learn and be bothered with all these Bells & Whistles, and to constantly adapt to changes?
I'm asking Rhetorically of course, since it's very well obvious that THEY DO have the time for it, and this is apparently why NPC's are ALWAYS glued to their phone, adjusting, correcting, probably putting together their little Narcissistic Video clips all for some Digital Dopamine Hits.
And completely ignore their life outside of these platforms.
I just lost over an hour trying to correct the formatting in a stupid SIMPLE blog page, which is mostly just HTML based anyway, and it completely discourages me and yet these NPC's will spend hours and hours and hours creating online entertainment content to show something off about themselves, maybe a "Fashion Haul" or dressing themselves up as a Doggie or a Woman wearing a Man's moustache who's rapping.
This stuff isn't even of value and what's the point if you are making content for other people to experience online, rather than in real life!?
But this is what our world is becoming, and I'm pretty sure the Website and App Developers take note to how well the NPC's adapt to being willing to deal with all the ever-increasing changes, and have no problem with constantly adhering to it.
Back in the day, when HTML coding was so much simpler, even though websites were nowhere near as fancy as they are now, I was actually able to make very good, solid websites and the thing is, you'd be able to design them in a way where you can place and have EVERYTHING behave the way you want too.
I could "technically" still have this done outside of these platforms, but I am met with other "Challenges".
But, again, just so you realize, I am not purposely trying to cause these things to happen on here where nothing seems right, or things seem "careless".
The problem is, I have less and less control over it. And I find that the more I try to correct anything, the more damage it seems to do EVERY TIME to my content.
Seems like I suffer from the same thing. My typos here are bad.
ReplyDeleteYour content is what matters most, of course. It is just a shame when ONE word mistyped can mess up the entire meaning of a post!
@Joey Aragon,
DeleteI'm finding this to be, becoming a more common occurrence, sometimes even realizing it after revisiting certain blogs of mine, even if I only made a slight edit. Sometimes, just that "one edit" throws everything off, even eliminating a sentence line or paragraph.
I rarely make out "typos" but the typos will just come automatically because this platform is becoming less and less tolerant of my "Browser" and OS.
It's so ridiculous.
So if you see something that doesn't somehow make sense or seems oddly not consistent and that I probably meant the "opposite", the case could probably be true.
The internet is borderline worthless at this point. The comment section of every platform is impossible to have any conversation because it auto deletes comments constantly... Even when there is no conceivable reason for it.
ReplyDeleteIt won't be long until the internet will be totally pointless... Just a biometric digital ID for total control.
@Here for the apocalypse, The only thing the Internet is still useful for, and is even more useful for these days is Online Shopping. That's really it, from what I can see, honestly!
Delete@PSA- Pretty much. Even watching videos that interest me is getting difficult because they have to speak in code just to get their video to upload.
DeleteSo now we have words like "unalived" and "melenated". I don't like the use of cringe, but it seems fitting in these instances.
Reminds me of a George Carlin skit like 30 years ago... Soft language
Would you use Windows 7 instead of using Linux? Linux seems to be the most secure and absolutely the most private OS in comparison but I just don't really like it. I've been using Windows 7 for a long time. Sadly I had tons of problems when trying to install it on this new computer.
ReplyDelete@nothingiserious, Yeah, but you can't really do a whole lot with Linux. It has a lot of potential, but even at that, there has really not been much vested interested in enough people who do open-source coding to fully bring out its potential. In times past, I was hopeful that maybe by the 2030's latest if not before, that we'd see something more revolutionary come out for a new Linux package or even a whole new OS re-branded on top of it, but it doesn't seem like we're anywhere close to that.
